LEGO has just announced the results of the first 2023 review for LEGO Ideas. A whopping 71 entries made it into this review after achieving 10.000 supporters on the platform. There’s always more great projects entered than LEGO releases, so there will always be some dissapointment over what projects haven’t made it.

So with that in mind, here are the lucky projects that were chosen by the LEGO Ideas review board:

Twilight: Cullen House by Nick Micheels (aka LobsterThermidor)

The Botanical Garden by Valentina Bima (aka Goannas89)

Especially the botanical garden is a big surprise, after the release of the Friends set in June.

These are just the fan models for now, LEGO designers will work on adapting these entries for commercial release. At some point in the future (probably 2024) we will see the finalised products revealed. These might prove to be quite different from these versions, like we’ve also seen with the Orient Express Train set.

Results for the second 2023 review are scheduled for early 2024. With 49 projects having qualified between early May 2023 and early September 2023.

So what do you think of these results? Any favourites you want to buy? Or are you dissapointed because your favourite project isn’t picked? We’d like to hear from you! Share your thoughts in the comments!

  1. I would say that the botanical garden is almost EXPECTED after the Friends set – Lego has a history of producing regular Lego sets that are similar to Friends sets.
