This week’s LEGO Ideas Feature is something a little different, it’s a set and a playable game all in one!

JUMANJI Board Game By AirBricks95 is the perfect combination, it’s two of my favourite things mashed together, LEGO and Movies, especially cool modern classics such as JUMANJI.

For this I was inspired at all 1st film released in 1995 and directed by joe Johnson. – AirBricks95

Based on the board game seen in the original movie, the project idea looks pretty much spot on, with the ornate and hand-embellished parts. It has the word JUMANJI running through the centre of it in bright white tiles, surrounded by foliage and four Animal heads which happen to be the player pieces inside too.

Open up the board game and you’re presented with the game itself, which again matches its onscreen counterpart. The instructions running down each side are brick-built using tiles that give the impression of words.

This set, which contains 1423 pieces, I have kept quite simplistic and rather childish to make the little ones want to build it. – AirBricks95

The board itself has small place markers where the players move to and land on when playing. In the centre is the eye of JUMANJI and where clues appear, the simple but brilliant effect has been recreated well by AirBricks95.

Each of the player tokens are brick-built and look cool, using some interesting techniques to capture each animals essence, there’s even two dice included, making for an epic brick-built game of JUMANJI. All the pieces tuck neatly away in small compartments with the board game itself, little lids can be lift up to reveal hidden space along each side

I won’t go into too much detail as I would like you to pop over to the official LEGO Ideas page and see for yourself. This idea is fantastic and one I’d happily purchase if made into a real LEGO set.
