The current LEGO gift with purchase set is the Mexican Taqueria, the second in the series of Restaurants of the World. It’s a great little set that is inspired by a traditional Taco food stand. Thanks to a creative builder, BrickmansPark, you can enhance it by transforming it into a fully fledged modular!

I’ve yet to build my copy of the GWP, but when I do I’ll most certainly keep this modification in mind for a future project. It looks great and would slot into a LEGO City with ease, especially if you have a food quarter. Using the already established colour scheme, BrickmansPark has built a whole modular building, including a ground floor, first floor, and a roof. Built onto a 16×32 baseplate, it is a fully realised two-storey modular, with a warm tan façade, layered detailing, bold accent stripes, and a richly textured slanted tiled roof, topped with a custom-built taco sign that makes this building instantly recognisable. Colourful bunting, wooden-style columns, and lush greenery create a lively and extremely welcoming street presenceyour LEGO City.

Some of the features included in this large modification are astounding, check them out below:

Ground Floor – Restaurant & Kitchen

  • Main seating area with tables for guests
  • Fully equipped kitchen with grill and prep space
  • Serving counter for quick street-food style dining
  • Decorative details including plants, wall art, and food elements

First Floor – Margarita Bar & Balcony

  • Compact margarita bar with stools and drink display
  • Back bar shelving filled with bottles and accessories
  • Access to a front-facing balcony for outdoor drinks
  • Bright décor to create a warm evening vibe

Build Features

  • Modular format (compatible with LEGO Modular Buildings)
  • 16×32 footprint
  • Fully detailed interior across both floors
  • Removable levels for easy access
  • Angled roof techniques inspired by the original set
  • Packed with small storytelling details throughout

Coming in at just 1186 pieces it wouldn’t break the bank to grab the parts and build this amazing fan made design. You can source the parts direct through Rebrickable via BrickLink or BrickOwl, you’ll also find the instructions there too which cost £6. To build your own, you’ll need a copy of the LEGO Restaurants of the World:Mexico (40907), it is still the current (ends 19th April) GWP at LEGO Stores and LEGO.com. Visit Rebrickable and download the instructions now. Check out the images below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
