One of the latest designs to gain the required 10,000 supporters and added to a future review stage at LEGO Ideas is the Kingdom Hearts Hollow Bastion!
The talented designer behind the brick-built recreation is Twilight Brix, who has taken the Hollow Bastion, a colossal castle from the popular Kingdom Hearts video game. The castle towers above the rest of its world, once being quite beautiful in appearance. One side has been extremely modified, causing it to look twisted, it remained as such until repairs began prior to the sequel Kingdom Hearts II game.
The model can be used in two different ways, when closed the detailed front serves as a display model of the castle itself. When openen it can be used as a play set featuring the Grand Hall. The Minifigures included comprise of the three main characters of the game; Sora, Riku, and Kairi.
The idea looks great and rather fantastical, with the twisted architecture and two-tone colour scheme. If made it would be one many fans of the games would love the opportunity to purchase, display on their shelf, and admire. I think the overall look is great and the scale spot on, it certainly brings something different to the LEGO Ideas table.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish Twilight Brix the best of luck in the next stage – it’s truly beautiful.

Big fan of Kingdom Hearts
looks awesome, but I can’t see them getting the licensee unfortunately, kingdom hearts is a tangled mess of licenses.
Growing up with Kingdom Hearts and seeing this is simply amazing. I’d buy the whole set. Please create I just got my little one into Kingdom Hearts.
If Kingdom Hearts sets would be released and had this much attention to detail like this Hollow Bastion set, I’d pick all of them up 🤩
