A Closer Look At The Official LEGO Vase by Nordic Houseware Group!

The LEGO Botanicals range is a hugely popular one, many fans have built thevast array of brick flowers, plants, succulents and more. But there is one thing missing, a genuine LEGO Vase, that is until the Nordic Houseware Group came along!

There have been many brick-built pots but nothing fans of the theme can purchase and not only store their LEGO Botanicals in but also real flowers. The so to he released official range of LEGO Vases include two designs, an etched brick pattern and etched wild flowers. Being made from hard plastic, they are both sturdy and capable of holding a fair amount of LEGO Botanicals flowers.

The Nordic Houseware Group have sent us one to take a closer look at, the brick etched one to be precise. Continue reading to see what we think of it.

Upon hearing we’d be gifted a LEGO Vase we immediately went out and bought our very first LEGO Botanicals set, after we asked our followers which set(s) we should get. We opted for two of the LEGO Daisies (11508) and we are so glad we did as they were a joy to build. We also greatly underestimated the size of the Vase itself, standing 17cm tall, one set of Daisies would have looked swallowed-up by the Vase, we had to extend a couple of the flowers for them to stand proudly above the rim – but we aren’t here to review the flowers, the Vase is the star attraction here.

The box it comes in is of a standard design, a seemingly dull box with LEGO branding and the product front and centre. On the front you’ll see the Vase filled with Flowers, on the sides are bright yellow panels with a brick pattern and the material they are made of, and on the back (pictured below) are the specifications – 17cm (6.7in) tall.

The Vase itself  is recyclable, and can be placed in the “hard plastic” recycle bins. It is made of polycarbonate and combines a minimalist design with a subtle touch of LEGO, featuring iconic LEGO prints. It is perfect for displaying LEGO flowers, fresh flowers, or as a decorative piece in your home. With a height of 17cm, the vase is designed to fit LEGO flower bouquets perfectly. The Vase comes in two different designs, brick art pine pattern or the wild flower pattern. Unfortunately at the time of writing this review the Nordic Houseware Group has yet to confirm the official release date and pricing, so please do watch this space. 

I can confirm though it is a great product that every LEGO Botanicals fan needs. The hard plastic Vase is strong, sturdy, and stunning. Take a look at the roomset photographs I took with the aforementioned LEGO Daisies set (not included) and the aesthetic background of my folks’ polytunnel.
