Mark (@brick_beat) here, with a review for the new LEGO Batman Tumbler Vs Two-Face and the Joker (76303)!

This is a great set for any Batman and Dark Knight fan. My Son recently started to watch the trilogy of Batman movies and can’t stop watching The Dark Knight (I must admit that is my favourite one too). Like kids do, he searched LEGO to see what was available and he stumbled across this set.

I was familiar with this set and when I first saw it I was really drawn to the Minifigures, all 3 being new and exclusive to this set. The price tag of £54.99 was a little on the expensive side. Luckily with some nifty searching around my Son managed to find it on sale with 20% off, so with some money he had been saving up he treated himself to this brilliant little set.

The Box & Side-Build:

Inside the box there are 4 bags, paper bags, which was a first for us. We did think it was a little odd there was still a small plastic bag inside the first paper bag though.
There is also a small instruction booklet and a few stickers – yes STICKERS! Grrr.

The set begins with a nice little side build of a Batsignal. This I thought was a great addition to what is mainly a Batmobile set. It’s a shame the signal doesn’t light up or have a glow piece but I guess for the price it would have been even higher with these additions.

The Minifigures:

As previously mentioned, all 3 Minifigures are new and exclusive to this set. I was personally drawn to the Two-Face Minifigure. What LEGO has done here with the printing and hair piece I think is superb. They have captured the character perfectly and even included his coin which he often left his decision making down to – the coin piece is even printed.

I own a “Ledger” Joker already, which came with a previous Tumbler set which is more of a adult/UCS larger edition, so to get one in this small play set is a great addition and is perfect for fans who missed out on the previous Tumbler sets with Joker Minifigures.

Batman himself is a newer design for us. This one comes with a new rubber moulded cape which is cool. Unlike the one from the 1989 Batman Minifigure, the cowl on this one isn’t attached to the cape.
The cowl itself also has white for the eye areas meaning we no longer get that printed bar across Bruce Wayne’s head when the cowl is removed like on older iterations.

The Tumbler:

The Tumbler itself was actually a fun build. My Son really enjoyed how it grew and grew, taking shape to resemble what is in the movies. There’s some play features too with being able to put Batman in the driving seat, push it around and fire some guns at his enemies. I expected the Tumbler to be smaller than it was so that was a nice surprise to see it was actually quite a decent size.

I still go by what I said about value for money. It’s a brilliant set but I think it’s a little expensive at full price. If you can find it on offer like we did then it’s a must have!
