Get Pumped For The FunWhole (LumiBricks) Gas Station (F9065)

It’s what every City needs, a Gas Station, and FunWhole have stepped up and answered the call – The FunWhole (LumiBricks) Gas Station (F9065) set is a must have and has so much more hidden under the hood!

As avid readers will know by now the boxes FunWhole sets come in are amazing quality, the design and printing are too notch and really do look & feel premium. Inside though is where the real magic is, with the numbered bags, instruction manuals and of course the bright orange Light Kit box.

All the parts are printed and look stunning, especially the petrol and shop signs. Inside the shop you’ll find it to be fully stocked with all your motoring needs, oil, car parts and most importantly snacks. Some of the parts are printed and suit the whole aesthetic of the Gas Station setting, I particularly like the jerry and oil cans. The shop floor also slides out to allow easier access to it and to setup photos and scenes. FunWhole has a tendency to go above and beyond and include play features likes the one mentioned above they also pop flaps, doors and slidey bits throughout the set to get a beeter look at the interior.

Each of the building steps are clearly laid out and presented beautifully, even installing the lights and cables is extremely simple, thanks to the instruction manuals and specialist bricks. The first bag is the light blue car which has a distinct classic American look to it, this comes complete with its very own light kit.

Once you’ve built a fair chunk of the set you can park the car in the Mechanic’s garage to get it checked over – then head to the pumps to refuel. These also light up and look stunning in the dark, the pump tops are printed and when the light shines through them it really gives you a great effect, a muffled type of light.

There are a couple of panels what can be removed to get a better look inside the shop and garage. As mentioned earlier this is one aspect FunWhole has perfected, especially for the themes that have buildings in them, including Town Life, Street Fusion and this one, Road Trip.

The floor of the shop can be slid out to get a better look at it and what it has to offer. The roof of both the garage and shop can be lifted off to reveal the detailed interiors, thanks to the wireless connectors the lights don’t need to be unplugged like third party light kits, another reason why FunWhole is the way to go.

There are three figures included, a shop keeper, mechanic and customer. They all feature nice printing & accessories and add a lot to the set, although they won’t be used by myself as I still prefer the other brands Minifigures.

Overall the set is another smash hit from FunWhole, I don’t say that lightly as I always pride myself on honest reviews – I honestly feel that FunWhole can do no wrong lately with their spate of incredible sets. They sure do make what the fans want and listen to us too with suggestions and support/criticism.
