10 life-sized LEGO F1 cars and their drivers, took to Miami race track for the Drivers Parade!
Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, 10 brick-built replicas of F1 race cars took to Miami race track for a full lap of laughs. Each full-scale build used almost 400,000 LEGO bricks, along with authentic Pirelli Soft Racing Tyres, and other components to make them drivable. A total of just over 22,000 hours were taken to develop and build this fleet of F1 LEGO race cars, each able to reach an eye-watering 20km/h. They weigh approximately 1,500kg each, with 1,000kg of that being the LEGO bricks alone. It looked great fun and the team drivers sure looked like they had fun.

Miami, USA – Sunday 4th May 2025 – Today, the LEGO Group and Formula 1 unveiled 10, fully drivable, LEGO big build F1 cars, representing every team on the grid, which were driven by the top drivers in the world during the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 Drivers’ Parade.
The builds were created to celebrate the two brands’ ongoing, multi-year partnership to create even more memorable moments for families at races in 2025 and beyond.
The unveiling marks a number of firsts for the LEGO Group, including the first time the company has produced multiple drivable big builds at the same time, as well as the first-time multiple Formula 1 drivers have got behind the wheel of LEGO cars at the same time.
These breathtaking feats of design and engineering were created by a skilled team of 26 designers, engineers and LEGO builders, over 22,000 hours, in the LEGO Group’s Kladno factory, located in the Czech Republic. At a near 1:1 in scale with Formula 1 cars, each big build comprises of nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, weighing 1000kg and capable of reaching speeds of 20 km/h, all while capturing the intricate and unique details of a Formula 1 car, including everything from sponsor logos to authentic Pirelli Tyres.
” At the LEGO Group, we always aim to explore new possibilities,” said Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer of the LEGO Group. “This latest creative feat is a true testament to that, marking an extraordinary collaboration between the LEGO Group, Formula 1 and its 10 teams. We know that large, drivable builds excite fans, and we’re thrilled by the response to unveiling all 10 at once. We hope these creations inspire everyone to see that with imagination and a LEGO brick, anything is possible.”
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said: “As a sport synonymous with innovation and pushing boundaries, it was amazing to see another first for our sport as the big builds made their way around the track in the hands of the best drivers in the world. Our partnership with the LEGO Group enables us to inject a lot of fun into the Grand Prix experience and engage new audiences, and we can’t wait to see what else we can dream up together.”
Each of the LEGO big build designs were based on the LEGO F1 Speed Champions range unveiled late last year, with this unveiling at the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 marking the latest in a year of activations between the LEGO Group and Formula 1, aiming to bring families closer to the sport than ever before.
Following the conclusion of the Miami event, all 10 LEGO big builds will embark on a global tour, bringing families and kids closer to all the action on track, with appearances at future races and F1® calendar moments. For more information on this, fans can visit LEGO.com/F1.
