2024 is off to a great start with new set reveals and two GWPs (gift with purchase), including the LEGO Icons Retro Food Truck (40681)!
The 1st of January brings with it a ton of new LEGO sets which were revealed some time ago, but the main attraction is the freebies you get with your purchases. Up first we have two LEGO Friends Polybags, free with purchases of the new LEGO Friends Andrea’s Modern Mansion (42639) set. The set retails for £169.99, making the two small Polybags less of an incentive, but one mustn’t grumble, they’re free after all. This promotion runs until 14th January 2024, or before depending on stock.
The next GWP is perhaps one of the most sought-after sets in recent months, or even years. The LEGO Icons Retro Food Truck (40681) features an older style truck in pale blue and white. It comes complete with two Minifigures, a Chef and a customer. The thres9for this isn’t too bad, £170 ($190/€190) for a decent size freebie is great, compared to the LEGO Friends one above at least. This promotion run until 16th January 2024, or before depending on stock.

To be honest, the Friends GWP deserves some serious grumbling and frowning upon… Other themes get specially designed GWP’s with flagship sets. So it’s a disrespect to the theme they’re only throwing in some lukewarm leftovers. Friends fans deserve a really nice special GWP if they are willing to spend this kind of money imho….
