Update: The LEGO Lion Knights’ Castle (10305) has been fully revealed here!

The LEGO 90th Anniversary Lion King’s Castle (10305) set has had quite a substantial detail update over the last couple of days thanks to PromoBricks and others from the community.

This will be the largest LEGO Castle & Knights set to ever exist and is set to be a knockout, especially the speculated RRP which comes in at a whopping €349.99 – *gulp*!

It’ll be a trip down nostalgia lane when this set releases, for some, as it was once a very popular line of sets. I personally missed out on everything LEGO as I’ve only recently got back into it after an approx 30 year gap.

The details that have been confirmed are it’ll consist of a huge amount of pieces, coming in at 4,514, contain 21 Minifigures including:

  • Queen
  • Majisto (Wizard)
  • 9 Lion Knights
  • 2 Falcon Knights
  • 2 Forestmen
  • Forestmen Child
  • Maid
  • Farmer
  • Baker
  • Boy
  • Skeleton.

As we shared many week’s ago the Castle may have already been revealed via the teaser/announcement video for the recently release LEGO Back to the Future Delorean (10300). They went back in time to Medieval times and a Castle could be spotted in the background. The loose sketches we’ve seen for the Castle does look very similar to the one seen above, and as always LEGO love to hide upcoming sets in plain sight!

Have LEGO Teased The 90th Anniversary Castle Set?

It will be a big set too measuring half a metre squared when folded, just like the original LEGO Lion King’s Castle. Features a drawbridge that can be raised & lowered, a dungeon with two cells including an escape route, a kitchen with working watermill wheel, a treasury, the Queen’s chambers, and a dining room.

Whilst the set does sound rather impressive and one any self respecting LEGO Castle fan should have, the 90th Anniversary with a LEGO Castle set is probably priced out of most fans budgets coming in at €349.99. Will you be grabbing this day one? Let us know in the comment below.

I would honestly have preferred that they released a smaller set with a cheaper price point and if anyone wanted to create a larger castle, can just buy multiple sets like the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Castle (31120) from last year.

The set is speculated for an August release which is the actual anniversary month of LEGO so it makes a while lot of sense to launch it then.

  1. Yes , I will be buying it as soon as it comes out, I have been banking my vip points for it. I have 6086 from when it was released and 21325 the Medieval Blacksmith, I also bought two of 31120, I was hopeful that there would be a medieval gwp at the same time, but I see they are doing one before.
