A Minecraft Movie is out now in cinemas, treat yourself a themed LEGO set and build scenes from the film!
Warner Bros. has been trying to capture the charm and success of the first LEGO Movie, with various toy based IPs such as Barbie. The next in this lineup is inspired by Minecraft, Mojang’s crafting game. Steve, portrayed by none other than Jack Black, along with four friends, find a mysterious portal which leads to the Overworld, a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master the terrain while embarking on a magical quest.
The related LEGO sets, of which there are two, help recreate parts of the movies story, including a Ghast Balloon and a Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring. The sets feature all of the main onscreen characters, but with a twist, they no longer look like traditional Minecraft people, but instead Jack Black, Jason Mamoa and friends.
