Mark from @The.BrickLoft here (formerly Brick_Beat), with a very cool brick-built Mario set available from YOUMKO. Firstly, a big thank you to YOUMKO for gifting me this set for review, all thoughts and opinions are my own. * Super Mario Bros Mario * Studio MOC 000007 * 4598 pieces * £127.41 from Europe Warehouse (price when review was written, not including shipping costs) I’ve titled this The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as I came across many of these points throughout my journey of the build. Mark from The Brick Loft here, this time with a review of a display case for the LEGO Ideas London Red Telephone Box (21347). When I saw this BrixBox display case it made me want the set even more and I rushed out to buy it in preparation for when the case was delivered.  Once I disposed of the outer packaging, in the various recycling bins, I laid out the case in its individual parts. The packets of screws and corner gubbins, the base & sides and finally the printed backdrops, which looked beautifully done by the way. Before screwing […]

Mark from @brick_beat here, with a very cool brick-built ‘1-UP‘ Mushroom. Firstly, a big thank you to YOUMKO for gifting me this set for review, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Super Mario Bros Green Mushroom Studio MOC 0000010 779 pieces £24.18 (price when review was written) I need to point out that this is not a LEGO set so there are some comparisons to be had when it comes to the instructions, building experience and the bricks themselves. The Instructions: The instructions are actually quite clear (PDF version is available on request) and broken down into steps, 216 in […]

Mark (@brick_beat) here, with a review for the new LEGO Batman Tumbler Vs Two-Face and the Joker (76303)! This is a great set for any Batman and Dark Knight fan. My Son recently started to watch the trilogy of Batman movies and can’t stop watching The Dark Knight (I must admit that is my favourite one too). Like kids do, he searched LEGO to see what was available and he stumbled across this set. I was familiar with this set and when I first saw it I was really drawn to the Minifigures, all 3 being new and exclusive to […]

I’m Mark, from Brick Beat, I share my adventures in the world of LEGO and other brick brands via Instagram, building new sets, live streaming, reviews and posting photographs of my very own collection. I’ve been collecting custom printed Minifigures, from Minifigs.me, for some time now. It allows me to grab my favourite TV & Movie characters and Music Artists that aren’t produced by LEGO. So far both myself and Greg from The Brick Post, have built up a very impressive collection of Minifigures. There is something for everyone at Minifigs.me, from Stranger Things, Doctor Who, Robocop to The Beatles, Queen, and […]
