Ahoy me hearties! The LEGO Rocking Plants (11506) set has been given a Pirate makeover thanks to BrickPharma.
The first iteration of cutesy plants were introduced almost a year ago, since then we have been given just one followup set, Rocking Plants. Their success was a surprise to everyone, the Happy Plants (10349) set came out of nowhere and captured the hearts of fans the world over. The second set focused on the same adorable plant pots but had the ability to rock back & forth. Many fans have given them makeovers but our favourites come from fan builder BrickPharma, who I first stumbled upon on Rebrickable, an online marketplace for fans to show off their creations and sell instructions.
The gunslinging cowboy take on the Happy Plants duo was executed extremely well, for the Rocking Plants though he went with Pirates as the theme.
Pirates of the Garden Centre – BrickPharma
Transforming these innocent little plant pots into Pirates of the 7 seeds, must have been an enjoyable task. The creator mentions how the idea came about when taking one look at one in particular. “Seeing that these two cuties were rocking all over the place, especially Ellie her wobbly green stem it could only be used for one thing“. The instructions are split up into two files so you can build with a family member or friend. The instructions manual consists of 79 combined pages with 117 building steps. These were carefully crafted to make the building experience enjoyable and easy to follow.
The parts used to create the crew of two are available via your go-to online brick store, be it BrickLink or BrickOwl, both are linked to via Rebrickable. Thanks to the ‘add to wishlist‘ and ‘buy these parts‘ options, it makes acquiring the needed pieces a breeze, it even gives you a total costing. You may also have these parts in your collection or spares box. To make things even tastier, the instructions are only €2.95, purchase and download direct from the Rebrickable page.
