Music, it’s a big part of many people’s lives and day-to-day activities. It can make you happy, sad, laugh, cry and all the other emotions under the Sun. So when I saw the amazingly retro looking Vintage Radio by Dimexart, I knew I had to share it with you as this week’s LEGO Ideas Feature!

This isn’t the first time Dimexart has listed this idea, it unfortunately didn’t make it through to the the review stage, but he’s back and his Vintage Radio is better than ever, you can pop your phone inside, turn up the tunes and listen to ye olde wireless again.

Hi everyone! And I’m back with my Vintage Radio, but now this is very special! – Dimexart

The idea is stunning and takes inspiration from the Radios of yesteryear, one your Grandparents or Parents might have had back in the day. I really like this build, the look and most of the nostalgia you get from it, yes it’s LEGO but the design and parts used don’t make that obvious, with the smooth edges and tiled off exterior.

Turn the Vintage Radio around and you’ll see a hidden flap, pull this down and insert your phone to turn the Vintage Radio into a fully functioning one. As ideas go, this is fantastic and deserves your vote, I don’t know how it wasn’t chosen last time around. I can picture this sat in a kitchen or on a shelf somewhere blaring out music for everyone to enjoy.

you can actually place your smartphone and control it with the Voice Assistant to play and to listen to your favorite music! – Dimexart

In recent years old format music, I’m looking at you Vinyl, has made a massive comeback, I myself was gifted a Record Player at Christmas and I absolutely love it. The crackle you get when placing the needle onto the record and watching it spin. This is what Dimexart’s idea does to me too, the vintage style, shape and colours really work well, adding the option to pop your phone inside takes it to a whole new level.

We would like to wish Dimexart the best of luck in gaining the required 10k support. If you like the look of this idea and would like to give your support, please use the links below. Registration is free to LEGO Ideas and only takes a minute, so head over there now and do your part!
