This week’s LEGO Ideas feature is ‘Traditional Luthier Workshop‘ by Mecesoo. It’s a cute classical styled building, based on French architecture from the 18th century. The color palette is very pleasing, being mostly tan, medium nougat, reddish brown and dark orange.

In the build the full building process is captured. From the carpentry department outside with a table saw, to the refined workshop inside with more delicate tools. There are also instruments in various phases of construction. This is both illustrated by shape and colour. There is also a small attic which seems to be the area where workers can have a tea break.

The outside of the workshop is furthermore decorated with ivy. This really enhances the atmosphere of the model.

I wanted the set to have a charming atmosphere, reminiscent of small idyllic towns where time flows slowly, a workshop that smells of wood and flowers.

In total this model contains 1,530 pcs and 2 minifigures are included for craftsmen.
