We’re back with another handpicked LEGO Ideas feature for you and this one has peaked my interest ever since I saw it many week’s ago, Farm Life by Ben Alder (benlouisa)!

You’ll be right in thinking you’ve heard that name before as Ben has already found success with his LEGO Ideas Winnie the Pooh (21326) product idea which officially dropped last year (2021).

The set features a very traditional and quaint red Barn, a vintage car, tractor, Hen house, Farm Animals and so much more.

Imagine the fun you could have living on a farm. Our farm has lots of fun and exciting features to explore

Taking a closer look at some of the details and play features of Ben’s idea it truly opens up and is a set every member of the family can enjoy. I personally have always wanted a Farm play set, being made of LEGO makes this even better.

The Barns roof lifts up and the side swings open, perfect for gaining access to the incredible details inside. You can also open the Barn doors and drive the Tractor in and out along with its trailer.

There is a rotating working winch in the Barn which can slide the full length of the Barn, allowing you to stock up much-needed supplies

Apart from the nice colour scheme and overall Barn aesthetic it also has a functioning winch that picks up Hay and alike that can be stored inside, it even runs along the entirety of the Barn too.

The Great thing about Ben’s designs are the many additional builds he includes, the Farm idea has a handful of side builds which look just as good as the main build. Ranging from a Tractor and Truck to a Chicken Coop and Solo, all continuing the theme of the Farm itself.

The Truck in particular grabs my attention and it’s so sweet and the perfect size for running errands in. It also looks to be 6 studs wide too which is in keeping with LEGO‘s own vehicles.

In keeping with the Barn is the Chicken Coop, and looks just like a miniature version of it with the red and black exterior. It seems a very popular place as there are plenty of Chickens present.

From the photos is looks as though Ben has allowed enough space under the Silo for both the Trctoand Truck, which is a very nice touch and again shows his keen eye for detail.

It wouldn’t be a Farm Life if there weren’t Animals and a Family present, and Ben has included both. To me it looks as though the Minifigures are based on his family, Mum & Dad and Son & Daughter. It’s the Minifigures that make the set for me personally and these ones look great, each of the adults sporting overalls and dungarees.

Another thing Farm’s wouldn’t be the same without are the Animals, and I must say there is a nice selection here, with Chickens, Pigs, and even a Cow! LEGO certainly need to step-up their LEGO City Farm game and start producing animals again, especially Goats.

The overall product idea Ben has produced is fantastic and one I’d love to see not only reach the required 10k supporters but to ultimately be made and sold by LEGO.
