As most of us already know there has been a LEGO and IKEA collaboration in the works for awhile now. Some of the new BYGGLEK range had already been spotted in some European IKEA stores.

Now both LEGO and IKEA have teased us with its official launch. Which will be October 2020, only just over a month way!

“This isn’t just a simple box with a lid, it’s a treasure chest full of tempting game ideas; a house that you can furnish; a staircase, a kit for creative people. And much more, if you want ”- IKEA describing BYGGLEK

The finer details of price are yet to be released but if we go off of the prices seen from earlier last month we can expect them to be as follows;

  • Small Box (26x18x12 cm) – €12.99
  • Medium Box (35x26x12 cm) – €14.99
  • Combi-Box (3 pieces) – €9.99
  • Parts set (40357) with 201 LEGO bricks – €14.99

The official images highlight some of the ways the new storage/play boxes can be used. Of course the possibilities are endless if you add some imagination.

Official description:

With the BYGGLEK collection, children can experience a thousand adventures that fly on the wings of their imagination. And when it’s time to put things back in order, the structures don’t have to be dismantled. The game can be paused and restarted at any time. And that’s not all: To the delight of adults, BYGGLEK containers fit harmoniously into every room in the house.

It creates more space to play. Keep your stories safe.
