A new rumour has surfaced that a brick-built Oliphaunt might be stomping into stores next year!
Thanks to many online sources we now have rumblings of the giant Elephant-style creature coming to LEGO, and as soon as January 2027. Rumoured details so far include the set number 11395 and piece count of 2,017. For those that have no clue what an Oliphaunt is, they are gigantic, elephant-like beasts from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. Originating from the jungles of Far Harad, these legendary, grey-clad moving hills were tamed by the Haradrim and used as brutally effective war beasts during the War of the Ring.

The mighty beasts are a ‘big’ part of the Lord of the Rings and are usually the creatures fans think of most when naming gigantic animals. They looked stunning in the movies, clad in armour, flags and other battle attire. It would be amazing to see how LEGO pulls this off, and the potential size of it. Rumours are it will be stood in a portion of landscape too, which will no doubt eat into the piece count considerably. If the LEGO Oliphaunt (11395) proves successful when it releases, it could pave the way for more fantastical creatures in the future, such as a standalone Balrog, Trolls, Ents, and the giant spider Shelob.
What would you like to set form the set? Which Minifigures (if any) should be included? Let us know via the comments section below. Please take this rumour with a pinch of salt, it stays a rumour until LEGO officially announce it.
