If you’re a Star Wars fan and in-turn love the LEGO sets inspired by the franchise then you may have spotted a slight positioning error in the latest LEGO Star Wars 501st Battle Pack, an official statement has been released explaining everything.

The error is located on the box and refers to a 501st Officer Minifigure and the positioning of the blue range finder antenna. The box render gives the impression the antenna connects to a lower point than the physical element can actually be attached to.

Thankfully it doesn’t hinder the elements inside the box or the overall build experience. Read the office statement given by LEGO below.

Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, Creative Lead for LEGO Star Wars said:

“Creating new sets involves a number of different teams working together in parallel, and unfortunately in this case the printed box art for 75345 features a computer render of a Phase 2 Clone Trooper helmet that doesn’t reflect the final finished physical element and positioning of the range finder on the figure.

In the final design of the physical helmet element, the visor dictates where holes for extra attachments need to be placed for them to sit. This is slightly higher than the position where the range finder is on the render found on the 75345 box.”

  1. Yeah I can see that it is slightly lower than a hole positioned on a Clone helmet. But all this means is folk with too much time on their hands who are also considered nerdy sad geeks have obviously complained to Lego to get this statement out. Which is just unnecessary imo.

    1. Seriously! How do you know it wasn’t quality control from Lego?
