LEGO have announced today that they aim to hire ‘hundreds’ of new staff from the UK and Denmark to expand their digital presence.

LEGO CEO Niels B. Christiansen confirmed plans, earlier shared in their annual report, that they wish to fast-track their ‘digital’ platforms and that most of it’s new employees will come from the UK.

We go where the talent is available,” – “Where we find the best talent is in UK and Denmark. I think the number will be in the hundreds.

The main roles will focus on websites, video games, and alike, and will heavily rely on people with that expertise.

With an almost 100% increase of traffic last year of a staggering 269 million views. At present the LEGO Group has two offices located here in the UK which employ roughly 750 people, with that in mind we could see that rise to over 1000 if Christiansen’s comments come true.
