LEGO fans queued around the block (pun intended) Yesterday morning at Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries in order to bag a limited edition set of Billy Connolly ‘Wee Big Yin’ LEGO Minifigures!

The Minifigures highlighted different stages of the Comedians career.

Approximately 750 Minifigures were available, 500 individual ones at £10 each and 50 sets of five at £50 each, these sold out extremely quickly with proceeds going to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

There have been sightings on the secondary market of some sellers asking for £900 a pop – This is the epitomy of scalpers trying to demand a high price for something that does not warrant it! Unless profits go to charity, this behaviour is unacceptable and often frowned upon within the LEGO community.

Let us know on the comments below if you managed to grab a Minifigure or full set of these limited edition collectors items, or whether you agree or disagree with scalping and trying to make a quick penny or two?

What is your reaction?
