The list of LEGO Ideas submissions that have made it through to a future review stage keeps growing, with the latest one recreating an iconic game – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater by ArcadeBricker!
The fan designer, ArcadeBricker, has created a fully functional brick-built Skate simulator complete with a skateboard joystick. You’ll use Tech-Deck/fingerboard controls to tilt the skater forward, backward and side-to-side, you can even perform flips and grind on rails. The counterweight allows you to catch serious air, just like in the game. LED’s provide ample light for the inside of the TV set and you can even design your own course.
If you are unfamiliar with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, it is a series of skateboarding video games published by Activision and endorsed by the American professional skateboarder Tony Hawk. From 1999 to 2007, the series was primarily developed for home consoles by Neversoft with generally annual releases. This LEGO Ideas project has been shown to and played with Tony Hawk himself, giving his own seal of approval, how cool is that?! Check out the video below.

ArcadeBricker has done a wonderful job in capturing the game and the style of the 90s/00s, I remember playing this game myself and absolutely loving it. The set offers great visual appeal too thanks to the TV screen and it’s shell, just like the LEGO NES (console) set it will look awesome on display. Fans of both the game and LEGO would love to get their hands on this set if it were real.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish ArcadeBricker the best of luck in the next stage.
