Who you gonna call?…

This week’s Minifigure Monday is Dr. Egon Spengler (GB001)!

This Dr. Egon Spengler is an exclusive minifigure from the ‘Ghostbusters Ecto-1’ set 21108 which was released in 2014.

The Ghostbusters movies were some of my favourites when I was younger and even today my son really enjoys them.

This was definitely a set I had to get and this was one of my first purchases from LEGO.com at the beginning of my collection. I remember when it arrived and being excited to own this set from ‘New’. It was also my first LEGO Ideas set.

My thoughts:

This Minifigure is brilliant!

It has a printed torso giving us the interpretation of the original uniform worn in the films, including the ‘E.S.’ and the proton pack straps on the front.

The head has 2 sides – Either a smiling/smirk face or a worried/frightened look.

I like how the printing is done with the glasses and the white print to make it look more realistic with shadowing.

I think they made a good choice with the hair piece.

The proton pack is a nice little addition which finishes this minifigure off nicely.
