The Krusty Krab by TrevorBuilder Could Become An Official LEGO Ideas Set

The latest design to make it through to the next LEGO Ideas review stage gives could see The Krusty Krab become a future LEGO Ideas set!

From the talented mind of TrevorBuilder, comes a brick-built recreation of the burger joint from SpongeBob SquarePants. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this or the underwater world of SpongeBob and friends in LEGO form but this particular build would make a great addition to the lineup. The shape of the building and colour scheme matches the cartoon perfectly and looks  great, especially when combined with the Minifigure characters. Thanks to its incredible following, the idea recently gained the required 10,000 supporters and earned its place in the next review stage, happening sometime this year.

SpongeBob SquarePants was my favorite cartoon growing up, so I wanted to create the finest eating establishment ever established for eating, The Krusty Krab in Lego form. – TrevorBuilder

TrevorBuilder has done a wonderful job in capturing the essence of the characters, the building itself and the fun it brings. As a play feature and one of the main aspects of the set is that the roof can be removed to gain access to the interior. I’m sure fans of the cartoon would love to get their hands on this set if it were real. The Minifigures would be worth it alone!

Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish TrevorBuilder the best of luck in the next stage.
