The_Astral_J is back with another Rocky alternative LEGO build, this time transforming Groot into the rock-based space friend!
You can now build your very own Rocky space friend thanks to The_Astral_J. Available at Rebrickable, the world’s largest marketplace for MOCs, Alternative Builds and more, you can purchase the instructions and get building. You’ll need to have the LEGO I Am Groot (76217) set in your collection or source the parts from BrickLink, to recreate the Project Hail Mary rock-based companion in LEGO form.
The talented creator, The_Astral_J, has taken one tiny character LEGO set and transformed it into a completely different one, using just 310 of the 476 parts available. Taking the tan and dark tan coloured elements and giving them new life, as they are the perfect colour for rocks. Each leg has multiple articulation points which allows for many poses and good movement. This Rocky space friend is ready to help with his sturdy core and standing 4.3in (10.8cm) tall.
The designer has done an incredible job with the build and would be on most fans list to add to their collections. If the images are anything to go by it’ll be a blast to put together.
