One of the latest designs to gain the required 10,000 supporters and added to a future review stage at LEGO Ideas is a blast from the past, Peashooter from Plants vs. Zombies!
Designed and built by DistinguishedCrow, comes a brick-built recreation of the bright green plant that featured in a video game from 2009, and again in subsequent titles. Plants vs. Zombies is a primarily a tower defense game developed and published by PopCap Games. First released for Windows and Mac OS X, the game has since been ported to consoles, handhelds, and mobile devices. The player takes the role of a homeowner amid a zombie apocalypse. The build takes inspiration from one of the defence plants, that can be upgraded throughout the game.
With a total of 304 pieces, the set is a throwback to the early days of Plants vs. Zombies. The Peashooter features posable leaves (limbs?) through a ball joint at the base and a hinge in the middle. A pea is included if you want to have it displayed mid-attack.
At this piece count and size, this would make for an affordable option for any Lego and/or PvZ fan and look great on a shelf. – DistinguishedCrow

The idea looks great and one many fans of the game would love the opportunity to purchase, display on their shelf, and admire. I think the overall look is fantastic and brings something different to the LEGO Ideas table. The colour used is gorgeous and brings the plant to life, the update on LEGO Ideas shows Peashooter in Gatling Gun mode, which would be a nice addition.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish DistinguishedCrow the best of luck in the next stage – it’s truly beautiful.
