The latest design to make it through to the next LEGO Ideas review stage is something a little different but would fit seemlessly into a relatively new theme of LEGO sets, bookends!

From the talented mind of Farmfarm, the idea will keep anyone’s book collection upright and tidy. These pair of bookends have taken inspiration from an almost comic book-like scene, with the towering skyscrapers, moon-lit clouds and a suspension bridge. The stylised look is gorgeous, with blocky dark purples, browns, greys, and blues, it all comes together to create an atmospheric and picturesque brick-built scene – fit for fans bookshelves and more.

There is something magical about a lit up nighttime skyline that includes a bridge, it is a reminder of the human capacity for combining engineering and art. What better medium to celebrate the mixture of those skills than LEGO bricks? – Farmfarm

Farmfarm has done a wonderful job in capturing the essence of a Cityscape at night. I’m sure fans of both LEGO and books would love to get their hands on this set if it were real. Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Farmfarm the best of luck in the next stage.
