Official details:
Blocks Issue 140 celebrates Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu
It’s time for a new adventure – Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is arriving on the big screen and on the cover of Blocks magazine. We’re celebrating the beloved characters with exclusive LEGO designer interviews focusing on the new sets, including The Razor Crest and Anzellan Starship.
Plus, a deep dive into the creation of the new LEGO NINJAGO Destiny’s Bounty Adventures board game, how bricks are packed and instructions for a spectacular mini Marvel Helicarrier.
Issue 140 is available to order worldwide as part of a subscription or as a single issue at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from June 5.
Blocks subscriptions are better value than ever – a one-year print subscription in the UK is just £64.90, for a saving of £52.10. If you take one out before the end of May, you’ll get a set of SIX FREE prints featuring LEGO Star Wars!
If you take out a two-year print subscription, we’ll also throw in an exclusive 1×8 LEGO brick!
Every month there’s a prize to win for subscribers – and Blocks is giving away 75446 Grogu (Mandalorian Apprentice)! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before July 2, 2026.
This is the Way. To mark the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Blocks is diving into the movie-inspired sets with Benjamin Liboriussen, Lucy Bilgin and César Soares. Find out how the adventures of Din Djarin, Grogu, the Anzellans and Colonel Ward are delivered in new models that the creatives worked on while the film was still in production.
Jonas Resting-Jeppesen takes Blocks inside the development of the new collaborative board game, LEGO NINJAGO Destiny’s Bounty Adventures. It’s a fantastic insight into how the game experts think about what they can do with the bricks and how the underlying lore underpins the entire concept.
In the monthly magazine, we love to ask nerdy questions – and one that fans often think about is what goes on in the cavernous LEGO factories. In this issue, Daniel Konstanski (author of Secret Life of LEGO Bricks) reveals why bricks are bagged before going into boxes and how the notion of numbering bags originally came about.
Once those bricks are out of the bags and in the hands of fans, magic can happen. Markus Ronge takes us inside the creation of his sprawling Full Steam universe, a sci-fi steampunk adventure that spans many massive imaginative models, all connected with a carefully crafted storyline.
If you need more than inspiration and prefer actual instructions, you can follow the steps to build a mini Jeep Wrangler from Jurassic Park, a palm sized Helicarrier from Marvel Avengers and a modern take on 6801 Space Scooter. There are parts lists available so you can order what you need.
That’s just a taste though – this is a 116-page magazine after all. Inside you’ll also find the top 10 coasters, how Creator became the theme fans know and love, what was going on in 1983 and much, much more.
Don’t forget – if your focus is on a galaxy far, far away, Blocks has launched a 132 page LEGO Star Wars special to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and Maul – Shadow Lord, which includes interviews with Ahsoka Tano actor Ashley Eckstein, Darth Maul actor Sam Witwer, LEGO Design Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, LEGO Masters judge Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught and more.
