Series 29 of the popular Collectible Minifigures dropped almost a week ago and one fan has created something much more sought-after with one of the characters. The Robot T-Rex, especially its torso and legs, make a decent Superior Iron Man Minifigure!
Instagram user jipjiplegoworld, has taken parts from the cybernetic Dinosaur and given them a fresh new look. Pop a Tony Stark head and hair combo onto the torso and legs and hey-presto – a new suit of armour for Iron Man. What makes the suit so cool in the comics is the sleek, futuristic, design, the seemless flow of metal and technology. The torso and legs of the Robot T-Rex Minifigure lends itself extremely well to these features, it even has what could be described as a mini Arc Reactor on the chest.

Thanks to jipjiplegoworld, the seemingly overlooked character from the latest series of CMF now has a new lease of life as die-hard fans and collectors of Iron Man suits can add another to their Hall of Armour. Superior Iron Man is a rather interesting character, this villainous, inverted version of Tony Stark from Marvel Comics (Earth-616), appearing after the AXIS event. Motivated by greed and vanity, he relocates to San Francisco, launches the addictive Extremis 3.0 app, and wears the symbiote-based liquid metal Endo-Sym armor. This arrogant, narcissistic iteration represents the darkest aspects of Stark’s psyche.
LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 29 is out now at most reputable toy stores and LEGO.com. If you are after a certain Minifigure don’t forget to download the free MinifigScan app (available on Apple and Android), it makes things so much easier and quicker. Please remember to respect the store you’re in and to not go overboard on a certain character, nobody likes a scalper!
