One of the latest designs to gain the required 10,000 supporters at LEGO Ideas is a brick Green Iguana Mecha!

The design and build is by Mitsuru Nikaido, it is a brick-built Mecha representation of a Green Iguana complete with a scale-like skin, piercing eyes, and spikey spine. The story of how the Mecha creature came to is in the distant future, the environment of the earth was harsh. Highly developed AI created Mecha adapted to its natural environment. The Mecha were designed with reference to living organisms. This LEGO representation is incredibly life-like and would look absolutely stunning sat on display.

The idea looks great and one many LEGO fans and animal lovers would like to get their hands on, it’s the perfect display piece. I think the overall look is fantastic and brings something very different and new to the LEGO Ideas table. Not only would it be an awesome looking display piece, it looks as though the build would be full of amazing techniques never used before.

Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish Mitsuru Nikaido the best of luck in the next stage.

Check out the images below and share your thoughts in the comments section, would you buy this set if it were made?
