Brick McBricksworth here with another Pantasy review! After building their Pirate Pub set a few weeks ago I was pretty excited to get the go ahead from the boss to be able to build and review another Pantasy set for The Brick Post.
This one I bring to you today is the Steampunk Windmill workshop. Right from the off I noticed something was going to be special about this set and that it is powered – More on that later in the review.
- Set number 85026
- Price $149.99

Box Art:
The box is very well presented and printed well with a clear picture of the build on the front and some other artwork and close up parts of the build on the back of the box.
Inside the box:

Again like the last set I built this one was full to the brim with parts and well laid out with the instruction book, numbered bags, minifigs, and a motor that is usb powered.
In the last review I made a comment about the colours being hard to distinguish. I may be now used to the Pantasy booklet colour pallet as I didn’t find it as tough this set. But a new builder of Pantasy would find some of the colours in the book don’t match clearly what they are. The browns and dark tan colours being the toughest to fathom. That said it seemed to be ok because the pieces used in brown for instance didn’t appear in any other colour in that bag so it was kind of obvious what you needed.
The minifigs:

They are still cute looking. Remember from the last review I stated they looked like a cross between two of the biggest toy brands out there. Still the case, and not a bad thing at that.
The build:
It starts with some ground tile work. Some of you out there will already be fans of modular buildings of any kind and we can all agree some tiles early on to set the floor up is a nice therapeutic start to any build.
Straight away as you start to build walls at the back you are installing gears and cogs. Now I said earlier about a motor and this is installed very early on and quite well hidden at the back of the build.

You move on then to some interior work on what would be the ground floor and there are some nice brick built details and a few printed pieces. (No stickers hoorah!) You build a furnace area and a whoppingly big bellows (massive compared to a minifig anyway). This is also linked up to the gears and moves up and down when the motor is running, which is a nice touch having extra powered bits at no extra cost…
After this you build a first floor of sorts but this is more a platform to be able to add the upper panels of the windmill.
These are plate build sections there are 6 of these around the build which are slightly repetitive but are still a little different on each one so not boring by the time you get to the last one.

After this you build the top and connect it up to the main cogs/axles running through the center. By now the build actually looks like a large steampunk Darlek!
Lastly in the main part is the sails and these are really nice looking given the parts used.
There are a lot of shiny metallic parts in this set so it really pops in the colour department and really stands out.
So now it is time to sit back and admire it and hope you built it correctly while for the first time you turn on the motor and watch the sails spin round!!! (Tip: you can test it each time you add parts to the build so a good idea to make sure it is all working before you properly push it all together.)

Build quality:
The bricks are of a really great quality and I can report that the last build I did is still on my building room table and after several weeks and moving it around, nothing has fallen off. Clutch power in Pantasy sets seems very good indeed.
- Build quality 9/10
- Look of the model 9/10
- Instructions 8/10 (Still has that colour issue that may be a tad difficult for new Pantasy fans).
- Part selection/colour choice 9.5/10
Overall a solid 9/10. But due to it being motorised as well, I am going to give this top marks and go ahead and say 10/10!
