To celebrate the royal relocation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family to Windsor, the team at LEGOLAND Windsor have unveiled new models of the Cambridges and removal people to create a fun and engaging ‘moving in‘ scene!

The scene fits into the current Miniland well and as you’d imagine and depicts a band of ‘Royal Removals’ service men and their van, built entirely by hand from scratch by the highly talented in-house model makers using a whopping 4,100 LEGO bricks.

All the family members are present including their dog Orla, watching as the removal van is emptied, which includes brick-built furniture, a sofa and a oiono amongst other household items.

You’ll be able to see the scene throughout September 2022 at LEGOLAND Windsor!

THE LEGOLAND® WINDSOR RESORT UNVEILS MINI-LEGO® BRICK VERSIONS OF ITS NEW ROYAL NEIGHBOURS

Talented Model Makers create a ‘Royal Removal’ display in Miniland to celebrate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge family’s relocation to Windsor

The miniature LEGO® models of the family and dog, Orla, were built using 4,100 bricks and took 19 hours to create

Talented Model Makers at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort have today unveiled miniature LEGO® models of their new royal neighbours, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family.

The brick-tastic moving-in scene which features a ‘Royal Removals’ service celebrates the news of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge moving to Adelaide Cottage in Berkshire this September.

Built using a total of 4,100 LEGO® bricks, The Duke and Duchess can be found outside the staggering 39,000 LEGO brick creation of Windsor Castle alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and their family dog Orla in the Resort’s iconic Miniland attraction.

The royal scene which took two Model Makers 19 hours to complete, portrays The Cambridges and the unpacking of their LEGO brick furniture thanks to a mini ‘Royal Removal’ service team, as the children each made from 20 LEGO bricks, play with the family dog, made from just 15 LEGO bricks.

Guests can see the new royal scene as part of Miniland, where it will be on display complete with grand piano, Grandfather clock and children’s toy box until the end of autumn.

Speaking about creating The Cambridges in miniature form, Paula Laughton, Chief Model Maker at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: “The Resort has always had a special connection with the Royal family so to welcome our new neighbours, our talented Model Makers are giving the royals a brick-tastic housewarming present by recreating the family in miniature form.

“The Royal Removal scene will go on display throughout September, and we hope to welcome the Duke and Duchess and their family to the Resort to see their figures very soon!”
