LEGO has officially revealed the next set in the video game console line, introducing the LEGO SEGA Mega Drive Genesis Console (40926)!
The new brick-built LEGO games console is inspired by the classic SEGA machine that goes by two different names, – Mega Drive in Japan, Europe and Australia, and Genesis in the US. The SEGA Mega Drive first launched in the late 80s and was home to some of SEGA’s most iconic characters, Sonic the Hedgehog being one of them. The 479 piece set will retail for a surprisingly affordable price, coming in at just $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99. The console includes two controllers, a Sonic The Hedgehog game cartridge, and a choice of branding for the console. There is also a cool easter egg inside the console, Sonic The Hedgehog in all his blocky glory.
