LEGO has revealed a set that celebrates Pride Month for the LGBTQIA+ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual).

It features a total of eleven Minifigures in a spectrum of colours which represents the diverse fan base that follow and have made LEGO what they’re today.

The set also comes with a matching brick-built display plinth that follows suit with each of the Minifigures colours. There is room for expansion but this would mean increasing the overall depth, if following on from the original design.

Consisting of 346 pieces the set will retail for £30.99 (€/$34.99) and release 1st June.

Thankfully this won’t be a limited edition set and should be around for a while. This eases the initial rush and potential disappointment of fans trying to get it on release day.

LEGO has always embraced their fans with open arms and this set will be loved by many.

The set idea comes from Matthew Ashton, V.P. of design at LEGO, which has been teased on his Instagram account for the past few weeks, posting coloured bricks that make up the set and asking followers what the new set could possibly be, which was fun to watch and join in with!

LEGO Everyone Is Awesome (40516) will be release 1st June 2021 at all LEGO Brand Stores and Shop@Home.

Please head down to the comments and let us know your thoughts on this new set and are you happy that LEGO are finally starting to release the highly collectable Monochrome Minifigures?

Set designer Matthew Ashton, Vice President, Design said: “I wanted to create a model that symbolises inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love.

“Everyone is unique, and with a little more love, acceptance and understanding in the world, we can all feel more free to be our true AWESOME selves! This model shows that we care, and that we truly believe ‘Everyone is awesome’!”

The 346 piece stands 10.24cm tall and has a depth of 12.80cm – a perfect fit for most shelves or window sills. It goes on sale on June 1, to mark start of Pride Month, and will be available through LEGO.com and LEGO branded stores, with a recommended retail price of 34,99 EUR/USD.
