The list of LEGO Ideas submissions that have made it through to a future review stage keeps growing, with the latest one recreating the Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel!
The fan designer, Rosedew Bricks, has built the beloved motel from the award-winning sitcom Schitt’s Creek. The Rosebud Motel is the most recognisable location of the show, and so many key moments occur within its walls. Packed with details and nods to fan-favourite moments, this set features iconic references like the ‘fold in the cheese’ scene, Nana Budd’s Christmas decorations, Moira’s Rose’s Garden, Ted the Turtle, and more.
The set includes the motel office, the Rose family’s rooms, and the surrounding exterior. Each room is detachable and can slide in and out of the exterior for easy display and play. The Minifigure lineup features Johnny, Moira, David, and Alexis Rose, alongside Stevie Budd and Patrick Brewer.

For those unfamiliar with the show, Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian sitcom (2015–2020) created by Eugene and Dan Levy that follows the formerly wealthy Rose family, who are forced to relocate to a small, rural town after losing their fortune to a fraudulent business manager. It received critical acclaim and garnered a cult following, particularly for its writing, humour and acting. It has won various prizes, including two ACTRA Awards and 18 Canadian Screen Awards.
Rosedew Bricks has done a wonderful job in capturing the Rosebud Motel and the style of the sitcom. Fans of both the game and LEGO would love to get their hands on this set if it were real. Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Rosedew Bricks the best of luck in the next stage.
