The latest design to gain the required 10,000 supporters at LEGO Ideas is a modular that combines a hairdresser and a perfumery!
From the talented mind of Santheg, comes a lovely looking building that would slot into any fans City with ease, mine included. The design looks amazing and the colour scheme used is a freshing mix of soft pastel pinks & greens and harsh reds & blues. It also focuses on two very different shops, a hairdresser and a Perfumery, uniquely different but also go hand-in-hand with each other.
With three floors to fill, the building is chock full of theme details – on the upper floor is the hairdresser’s modest apartment, which is accessed via the terrace to which the medieval-looking staircase in the middle leads. The apartment contains a small kitchen which opens into the living room as well as a toilet, a bath room and separated by a room divider is a bed. Skwiggle, the local photographer and owner of Stone’s Throw Photography (it’s just a few blocks away) is currently taking advantage of the great view from the patio to take some cool photos of the town. He does this on behalf of the City’s tourism association, which has ordered new postcards for the Info Point.

The idea looks great and one many fans would love to get their hands on, I know I would. I think the overallook is fantastic and would bring a much needed change to the current line of LEGO Modular Buildings, they have have become a little uninspired lately.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish Santheg the best of luck in the next stage.
