The latest design to make it through to the next LEGO Ideas review stage makes a triumphant return to Ancient Egypt with the long forgotten theme – Adventurers!

From the talented mind of Krackenator4, comes a nostalgic visit to a far away land. From 1998 to 2003, Adventurers was a theme beloved by many LEGO fans. It followed Johnny Thunder and his countless adventures around the world for lost artifacts. This new idea celebrates that and sees the explorer don his Adventurers outfit once more for another glorious adventure.

Thanks to its incredible following, the idea recently gained the required 10,000 supporters and earned its place in the next review stage, happening sometime next year.

This model is utilizes the design of the real life Temple of Edfu (Horus) in combination with features from the original Adventurers set ‘Pharaoh’s Forbidden Ruins (5988)’ to pay tribute to the old set theme.

Krackenator4 has done a wonderful job in capturing the essence of Ancient Egypt, with its mostly beige buildings, columns, hieroglyphics, and Pharoahs. I’m sure fans of the origin LEGO Adventurers would love to get their hands on this set if it were real. The tan coloured architecture looks great, with the dash of dark reds and blues. Factor in the play feature of it opening and closing and you are onto a winner.

Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Krackenator4 the best of luck in the next stage.
