Calling all Lord of the Rings fans, today’s alternative LEGO build is calling out to be made – Argonath by WillsBuilds!
The model is a brick-built representation of the Pillars of the Kings a.k.a the Argonath from the Lord of the Rings books and movies. Made from pieces found in the LEGO Lord of the Rings Rivendell (10316) set, the alternate design has a total of 3,241 pieces. The giant brick-built landmark is a spectacle to behold, complete with the Fellowship Minifigures passing peacefully between them. The monument is made of two statues representing Isildur and Anàrion (or Isildur and his father Elendil in the film) standing either side of the River Anduin, marking the northern border of Gondor.
The fan designer has taken it upon himself to not only digitally design this set for the instructions, but also build it too, using the aforementioned set.

The designer has done an incredible job with the build and would be on my list of possible additions if I had the time and money to source the original set and build it. WillsBuilds has produced a high quality design that will sit amongst a display with ease and be the centrepiece, every LOTR fan should have one of these. Granted the initial cost of the LEGO Rivendell (10316) set is a big commitment, and the build looks fantastic, this alt build looks just as yummy, with the two brick-built stone sculptures standing 30cm tall either side of the Fellowship passing beneath. All the characters that are featured in the movie scene are included in the Rivendell set so the Argonath build is an accurate representation of the scene.
