Halloween is almost upon us and LEGO Ideas have a new challenge to take part in called ‘When Midnight Strikes‘!
The challenge is to physically or digitally design and build something spooky and Halloween themed. As usual the rules are to avoid IPs and IP-based Minifigures and be the original creator. The prize pot is scarily-good, with the winner getting their hands on Mineral Collection (21362), Gizmo (21361), Minifigure Vending Machine (21358), and Italian Riviera (21359). The fans that make it into the vote will also receive a Gizmo (21361) each, so well worth entering.
You have until 12th November 2025, so get designing, get building, and get submitting.

Monster mash
It’s not Halloween without a monster or two, from brick figures that transform into werewolves to vampires that shapeshift into bats. You could design a creature that turns supernatural when the moon emerges from the mist, and make others believe that monsters really do exist…
Fright night
Nothing says witching hour more than an eerie setting, so why not envision a seemingly ordinary scene that transforms into a ghostly landscape once the midnight hour hits? Perhaps that cute woodland with bunnies and squirrels turns into an ominous jungle filled with creepy creatures, or maybe ghouls lurk in the shadows of your bedroom in the dead of the night. Whichever you choose, we don’t think you’ll be getting much sleep…
Ghostly getaway cars
Even devils need to get around, so perhaps your family car turns into a vampire-driven SUV when night falls. Is that a motorbike or a mummy-mobile? Rev your engines and keep your eyes peeled. Nothing is as it seems this Halloween!
What lies beneath
Much like a super cute but mischievous sprite, some monsters come in adorable-looking packages. Why not explore what really lies beneath that fuzzy exterior by building a seemingly loveable friend that unleashes a fearsome fiend when you least expect it?
