The next big LEGO Icons set has even revealed and fans have mixed views on it, sure it’s a stunning brick-built model of the U.S.S Enterprise, but the price is exceptionally high. The Star Trek themed build is definitely one for the history books as it’s the first time LEGO have ventured into the fandom, after many years the fans have finally got the set of their dreams.
Packed into the 3,600 piece is the iconic Enterprise-D that was used in the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series. The set will have a detachable command saucer, secondary hull, and warp nacelles along with an opening shuttlebay and two mini brick-built Shuttlepod.

There is also a crew of 9 Minifigures ready to go where no man has gone before, these include the caption, a few crew members and other important characters. One additional character is also present in the tie-in gift with purchase set, bringing the total to 10. Fans of the show will know exactly who is who but for those who don’t we’ve put together a short description for each one along with their character photo.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard:
Jean-Luc Picard was a celebrated Starfleet officer, archaeologist, writer, historian, diplomat, and philanthropist, who served throughout much of the 24th century. The highlights of his career were centered around assignments as commanding officer of the Federation starships USS Stargazer, USS Enterprise-D, and the USS Enterprise-E

Commander William Riker:
William Thomas “Will” Riker was a 24th century male Human Starfleet officer. Riker served as first officer for Captain Jean-Luc Picard for 15 years on the USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E before finally accepting his own command with the USS Titan. (TNG: “Encounter at Farpoint”; Star Trek: First Contact; Star Trek Nemesis)

Lieutenant Worf:
Worf has appeared in more Star Trek television shows and films than any other character, and he remains one of the franchise’s most beloved characters. Lieutenant Worf first appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation and spent most of the show’s run serving as Security Chief on the USS Enterprise-D commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart). As the only Klingon in Starfleet, Worf often struggled to reconcile his Klingon heritage with his Starfleet duties.

Lieutenant Commander Data:
Lieutenant Commander Data was a Soong-type android, the first and only such being ever to enter Starfleet. Data was created some time in the 2330s and was killed in 2379, sacrificing himself to save the crew of the USS Enterprise-E.

Dr Beverly Crusher:
Beverly C. Crusher, MD, was a female Human who notably served as the chief medical officer of the USS Enterprise-D and the USS Enterprise-E, both under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, in the 24th century. She briefly left her post as CMO of the Enterprise-D to become head of Starfleet Medical, only to return shortly after.

Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge:
Geordi La Forge was a Human male Starfleet officer, who was originally a lieutenant junior grade while serving as the helmsman of the USS Enterprise-D, during 2364. As his career progressed, he transitioned to engineering, and was promoted to lieutenant, and later lieutenant commander, rising to become the chief engineer of the Enterprise-D, and later USS Enterprise E.

Counsellor Deanna Troi:
Deanna Troi was a female Betazoid–Human hybrid Starfleet officer. Under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, she served as the counselor aboard the USS Enterprise-D and the USS Enterprise-E.

Bartender Guinan:
Since her introduction on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) has popped up in different eras throughout Star Trek’s timeline. As an El-Aurian, Guinan comes from an extremely long-lived race of listeners and enjoys sharing her wisdom with those around her. Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) personally requested Guinan’s presence on the USS Enterprise-D, and she took on the role of bartender.

Wesley Crusher:
Wesley Robert Crusher (also known as Wesley Eugene Crusher) was a human man in the 24th century. In his youth he excelled thanks to his skill and intellect and had a promising career in Starfleet ahead of him. However, he dropped out of Starfleet Academy to travel with the mysterious being known as The Traveler and experience the universe on a plane beyond that which most Humans could ever come close to.

Ensign Ro Laren:
Ro Laren was a female Bajoran national who served as a commander in Starfleet, working for Starfleet Intelligence during the early 25th century.
A survivor of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, Ro had a tumultuous career within Starfleet. Following a court martial and demotion due to a catastrophic away mission, she was assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D in 2368 and mentored by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. In 2370.
