Skye Shepheard, aged 13, from Canterbury, is crowned the inaugural Mini Mayor wowing judges by transforming Miniland London into an eco-friendly creative play zone

The winning design has been created by expert model makers and installed in Miniland London, where it will be on display until October

9th September 2025: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is proud to announce 13-year-old Skye Shepheard, from Canterbury, as the winner of its nationwide competition to search for the very first Mini Mayor of Miniland London.

The brick-tastic competition was launched earlier this year to celebrate the makeover of Miniland’s London cluster, which now includes refreshed versions of iconic landmarks like The Gherkin, City Hall, and The Cheesegrater.

Skye’s creativity and imagination won over the judges with a creative vision of a greener, more sustainable London in brick form, through combining her two favourite things – her love for LEGO and passion for the environment.

The inspirational winning design has now been transformed into a LEGO® model and will take pride of place in the heart of LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s iconic Miniland London until October. It took expert model makes 63 hours and 10,608 bricks to bring Skye’s vision of London’s future to LEGO life.

Skye said: “I’m so excited to become the first Mini Mayor of Miniland London. I entered for fun and because I feel strongly about making the world greener. I love LEGO and am very passionate about the declining state of our planet. Not a lot of cities are green, so I wanted to use this opportunity to design the London of the future, which is greener and more sustainable than it is today. I never thought my design would win and am so happy it has!”

“Congratulations to Skye! We were blown away by the imagination and thought that went into this winning design. Her vision of a greener city was not only creative but also meaningful, showing how children are thinking about the future of our world. We can’t wait for guests to spot Skye’s model in Miniland London. We are delighted to include this awesome design and it’s great to see our very first Mini Mayor has left such a creative mark, one LEGO brick at a time!” said Paula Laughton, Head Model Maker at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

Guests can see Skye’s winning design in LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s Miniland London, which features seven brand new buildings which form London’s iconic skyline such as the Cheese grater, City Hall and the refurbished Gherkin.

Tickets for LEGOLAND Windsor start from £34 per person, with kids under 90cm going free.

Also on offer at LEGOLAND Windsor is the attraction’s infamous ‘Brick or Treat’, running throughout the month of October with activities on select dates between October 4th – November 1st.
