The global toy market has taken a battering this past year, but LEGO UK have revealed £500m in profits!

According to The Times, the UK arm of the LEGO Group has reported a 12% rise in revenues since December 2024. Thia comes as a shock as the wider toy industry is seeing a decline in sales, Hasbro and Mattel have reported lower sales. LEGO have pinned the success to recent product lines such as the Lilo & Stitch and Star Wars Disney+ tie-ins. Their large range of sets is also credited and the expansion of new IPs and themes such as Botanicals. LEGO UK is an important part of the group’s global operations, overseeing the 20 UK store portfolio.

The wider LEGO Group saw global revenue rise 13% to DKr74.3 billion (£8.4bn), with net profit up 5% to DKr13.8 billion. Its performance once again outpaced the global toy market, which fell 1% last year — following a 7% drop in 2023, the most challenging year for the toy industry in over 15 years.
