The biggest LEGO set to date has just been revealed, with 9,023 pieces, the LEGO Star UCS Death Star (75419) is here!

This October sees the biggest and most expensive LEGO set warp into stores and online. The latest Ultimate Collector Series set is based on the Death Star from Star Wars, or rather a slice of it. Comprising of just under 10,000 pieces, the retail price is a staggering $999.99

Designed to be a display piece, the cutaway diorama includes brick-built interpretations of both the battle station’s grey exterior and a fully packed interior filled with many scenes we’ve seen before in smaller previous LEGO sets. With a whopping 38 Minifigures included, it’s a fans dream come true, with some of them being exclusive to the set.

Unlike previous versions of the Death Star, this new UCS version is a mere sliver of a build. Although at first glance it may appear to be an odd decision, the final product allows for a slim display set that shows both the exterior of the Death Star and a highly detailed and action-packed interior.
