The latest fan submitted design to make it into the upcoming LEGO Ideas Second 2025 Review Stage has taken a virtual music group and recreated them with LEGO bricks – Gorillaz: Flying Windmill Island by Shirbler!
As another two projects reach the required 10,000 supporters and added to the Second 2025 Review Stage, making the total number a staggering 144. This is the highest it has ever been partly thanks to a handful of ideas, and the platform itself, ‘going viral‘ on TikTok. There is a nice selection of original designs along with those based on existing IPs – including the one featured here today, Gorillaz: Flying Windmill Island. Fans could see the idea come to life if the project is chosen by the powers that be.
This isn’t the first Gorillaz inspired project to reach the Second 2025 Review Stage, but it certainly a fun one. It sees the band recreated in LEGO Minifigure form along with the Flying Windmill Island from the Feel Good Inc. and other music videos.
Reaching the goal unfortunately doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on which of the 144 (as of writing this post) will be chosen – Watch this space for all your LEGO & Brick news!
