Celebrate Halloween in style with a 4 metre tall LEGO Skeleton, built entirely from foam!
The oversized Skeleton is the handy work of Alan Perkins – Haunted Spider on Instructables. It is approximately 100 times bigger than a standard LEGO Minifigure and cost around $1700 to make. Alan was inspired to go big after acquiring a 10 times bigger 3D-printed LEGO Skeleton, which is impressive in itself, but nothing like the oversized one now stood in his garden.
Comprising of mostly foam, with a metal structure inside, Alan set out designing, drafting and building his dream and in the process making the biggest LEGO Skeleton known to man. He even created instructions, just incase you wanted to give it a go, it also lists what tools you’ll need and the approximated cost. The total cost was around $1700, but Alan mentions that included discounted tools and materials, it’s actual costs is estimated to be at least $2500. Alan is taking it one step further and looking to apply a glow-in-the-dark coating, as if the 13.5 foot tall LEGO Skeleton isn’t ominous enough!
The reason behind the giant creation is in aid of Skeletons for St Jude charity event, receiving many donations and helping their cause. To donate please visit their website for more information.
