Gamescom 2025 is currently taking place in Cologne, following the announcement of the LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Game coming next year, a ton of gameplay has been released!

Along with the excellent looking ‘pre-alpha‘ gameplay we also get extra details about the game itself. As mentioned during the Opening Night Live, the game takes place in a gorgeous open-world Gotham City and takes moments from past Batman adventures and sticks them all together. It looks as though the game’s version of the Dark Knight will  experience those moments and not flit between hundreds of characters like previous LEGO Batman games did. A new dynamic is the games different difficulty settings, offering something new for gamers who like a challenge or for those that prefer the story and less stressful combat.

There is a growing trend from the gamers that got to play the game at Gamescom, that the game’s biggest inspiration is Rocksteady’s Arkham series. The game studio defined comic book games so it’s no surprise games will take inspiration from them and follow in their footsteps. The combat system looks epic and I personally can’t wait to give it a go.

More can’t be seen in the many gameplay videos out there, below are a small selection of the ones we found interesting and exciting. What are you most looking forward to doing in the game? Share in the comments section below.
