One of the latest designs to gain the required 10,000 supporters and added to a future review stage at LEGO Ideas is the Ornate Hourglass by Noble Studs!
The timeless decoration, beautiful ornament, and useful tool was designed and built by Noble Studs. The brick-built recreation of an ornate hourglass is both beautiful and functional, the 10s/100s of studs inside actually travel through the hourglass, I bet it sounds magnificent. If you’re interested in seeing this project in action, check out the video below. The bintage decoration is both fun and mesmerising to look at and use. You can also see a section of the hourglass ‘cut in half’ to see just how the middle funnel works and how everything is steadily connected
The idea looks great and very elegant, it’s one many fans of ornate decorations and functional builds would love the opportunity to purchase, display on their shelf, and admire. I think the overall look is fantastic and brings something different to the LEGO Ideas table. The reddish brown colour scheme with accents of gold is gorgeous and gives the hourglass it’s timeless look.
Unfortunately reaching the required goal of 10,000 supporters doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next/this year – we wish Noble Studs the best of luck in the next stage – it’s truly beautiful.
