One of the latest LEGO Ideas fan submitted design to make it to 10k supporters is very festive and one that would do extremely well at Christmas, The Grinch: Whoville!

The project was submitted by Papoy2T and is one of the most recent submissions to hit the required 10,000 supporters mark. It joins other submissions which make up the next Review Stage. Fans could see the idea come to life if the project is chosen by the powers that be.

The build is based on hit 2000 movie The Grinch, starring Jim Carrey. In the live-action adaptation of the beloved children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Reluctantly joined by his hapless dog, Max, the Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. However, the bitter grump finds a hitch in his plans when he encounters the endearing Cindy Lou Who.

Papoy2T has done a wonderful job in recreating The Grinch, his home and Whoville, I particularly like the force perspective of the mountain bedind the town. The Minifigure characters look greaylt and there seems to be three iterations of The Grinch. This would definitely be on my wishlist if LEGO chose this one to become a real-life set, having seen the movie and being a fan of Jim Carrey.

Relive the magic of the emblematic movie The Grinch (2000) with this amazing set inspired by the classic. The set perfectly captures the essence and the joy of this movie with amazing details that fan of the movie and of lego will love to put together.

Unfortunately reaching the goal doesn’t guarantee it’ll be made into a real-life LEGO set, but there is hope for fans as the LEGO Ideas team will debate on and choose which sets will be lucky enough to make it through sometime next year – we wish Firecracker_ the best of luck in the next stage.
