We’re back with another awesome alternative set build, this time transforming the sweet little LEGO Yellow Travel Suitcase (40817) into a Mech Suit!
The talented designer, Eric_Nunya, has taken a small and innocent set and converted it into full on Mech Suit for your Minifigures. The LEGO Yellow Travel Suitcase (40817) was released in April of this year and was an instant hit with fans, as it was cute and affordable. Eric_Nunya has done a great job in creating a cool alternative design using just the parts found in the set.
The front swings down to allow for a Minifigure to be popped inside. The arms are a good length and have pincer-like hands, the legs unfortunately don’t bend but that’s fine, it makes for a good display piece – and who doesn’t like a good Mech Suit?!
The alternative design can be found on their Rebrickable account, where you’ll also find the instructions which are completely free. At the end you’ll have an awesome Mech Suit for your Minifigures, the question is which one will you pop in first?
