Here at The Brick Post we like to feature product ideas from the LEGO Ideas platform and shine a spotlight on the ones which take our fancy. We especially look forward to showcasing the more quirky and imaginative creations.

This week’s submission is from Cristhoper (a.k.a ThePileOfBricks) and his LEGO Pull Puppet!

LEGO Pull Puppet by Christopher_dh

You may recognise the name as we’ve featured Cristhoper before when his Fire Station Modular was first listed on LEGO Ideas, it’s an amazing build and worthy of your support, check it out here.

Cristhoper’s newest product idea pulls, literally and figuratively, on  our childhood heart stings as we’ve all seen this puppet/toy in some shape or form when we were younger.

Pulling the strings, the arms and legs move and sound almost identical to a wooden one.

Having followed Cristhoper for awhile on Instagram we’ve seen this idea develop over time and I must say it has turned out amazingly well, and it fully functions as you’d expect. Pull the strings and his arms shoot up and his legs flick outwards, creating that iconic shape most of know from yesteryear.

One of the things that drew me to this particular pull puppet is his cheeky face, I don’t think there could be a happier looking face. From the jaunty smile, cresting eyes, and the pointy nose it all adds to his cheeky personality.

I particularly like the eye-brows which are layered within the head build itself, and don’t even get me started on the Banana elements on his headgear!

The whole look and feel of this product idea is great, the colours used are perfect and go well together.

I used 236 pieces and my version has a size of approximately 30cm.

I’d be very interested to see the inner-workings and get an idea of how Cristhoper has ‘pulled’ it off (excuse the pun).
